Norooz (Nowruz) is the Persian New Year celebration.

Starting March 17, join us on YouTube Live for a showcase of lively music, folk dance, and storytelling, featuring musician/composer Amir Amiri on the traditional santur.

Plus, Sanam presents a very special Farsi storytime to celebrate Norooz on March 20!

This cultural showcase was made possible in part thanks to a generous bequest in support of music at the Library from the estate of Robert Leslie Welsh, through the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation.

Learn how to identify these stingless pollinators and build a simple mason bee house from everyday household items. The Foundation Board of Directors is delighted to welcome new Director, Anjili Bahadoorsingh.  

Anjili, a long-time resident of West Vancouver, is Associate Counsel with Terra Law Corporation.  She previously served for four years as a Trustee of the West Vancouver Memorial Library and is now continuing her passion for libraries by offering her talents to the Foundation.
