Tell Your Story
Writers look carefully at the world around them. Look around your neighbourhood. Jot down as many words as you can think of that describe what you see. Pick one word (e.g. green). Think of other words that start with the same sound (grassy, great, growing). This is an example of alliteration. Alliteration is when the same initial sound is used repeatedly. Write a short poem describing your neighbourhood and use alliteration in your description.  Share your poem on the sidewalk for everyone to enjoy!

Make Your Own Board Game - Week 2
Before you create something, it’s always a good idea to research. Research can be loads of fun. This week we challenge you to play loads of games! For each game you play, answer these questions:
  • What is the goal?
  • What are the rules?
  • What is the story?
  • How do you know if you are winning / doing well?
  • How do you know if you are losing / doing badly?
You’ll use the research you did this week playing games to help you design your own game next week.
