Join us for a traditional naming ceremony, led by Skwetsimeltxw Willard ‘Buddy’ Joseph, with refreshments on the rooftop on Tuesday, October 4.

Friday Night Concert Double Bill: Raagaverse and Anju Bedi
Friday, October 28, 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. Raagaverse, a new collaborative Indo-jazz fusion quartet, will be joined by BC's only female sitar player, Anju Bedi, for this special double bill performance.

Grow Slow: Winter Food Gardening in Small Spaces with Laura Marie Neubert [VIRTUAL]
Wednesday, October 12, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. This program is for people short on space, time, or the inclination to manage a large urban garden, but who still want the benefits of growing food at home.
Fridays, October 14 – December 9, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This is a sampler class for young children to develop very basic music skills that may serve them in future music classes.
Saturday, October 22, 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Invite your grandparents and learn about the fantasmical world of bugs and worms and the role they play in urban gardens.
On September 9, the Friends participated in the Summer Reading Club Medal Ceremony—the first one in three years! It was wonderful to celebrate with so many enthusiastic young readers.
This important program, funded by the Friends of the Library, is designed to help stop summer learning loss. We can’t wait to see the kids again next summer.
On Thursday, November 3, we’re hosting a fundraising event with Beverley McLachlin at the Kay Meek Arts Centre to support the West Vancouver Memorial Library. This major fundraising event works to fund equity-enhancing supports and educational opportunities that have a direct impact on individuals at the point of need and the social fabric of our community as a whole.
