Friday, November 11 – Saturday, November 12 Create a handmade valentine in the Youth Department and we’ll send it to a Canadian Veteran via Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
In honour of our veterans, the Friends of the Library will host the Remembrance Day reception, a tradition since 1975. Library doors will open after the ceremony at the Memorial Arch. Refreshments will be served by the Friends.
Our theme cart will be featuring “War Books" from November 1 to November 14, in tribute to our veterans.
On Thursday, November 3, we’re hosting a fundraising event with Beverley McLachlin at the Kay Meek Arts Centre to support the West Vancouver Memorial Library. This major fundraising event works to fund equity-enhancing supports and educational opportunities that have a direct impact on individuals at the point of need and the social fabric of our community as a whole.
