Indigenous History Month

The Library is offering a number of ways to support community members in marking Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize the rich history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of Indigenous Peoples.

Make a heart for the Library’s Heart Garden to honour the children lost to the Residential School system, browse our online resources and recommended reads, and attend an event.

Friends of the Library

Thank you for supporting Shred-It!

This was the 7th Shred-It event and this year the Friends raised just over $3,000.

Proceeds go towards Library programs and services like the Summer Reading Club, Family Explorer Backpacks, North Shore Writers Festival, and more.

A big thank you to the many Library staff, Trustees, and Friends who give their time to ensure the event is a success.

In 2000, West Vancouver resident Robert Leslie Welsh bequeathed his estate to the Library in support of music programs and collections. More than 20 years later, this gift is still funding significant enhancements to the Library, including Friday Night Concerts, Wee Musician Kits for kids, and the brand-new Recording Studio, which features a selection of industry-standard equipment and software.
