North Vancouver City Library, April 12 and 13, 2024
Save your seat for the 2024 North Shore Writers Festival, a celebration of award-winning Canadian literature! You will hear from an outstanding lineup of speakers, including Giller-nominated author Kevin Chong, plus JJ Lee, Sareh Farmand, Trish Gauntlett, Renée Sarojini Saklikar, Lyndsay Sung, Bri Beaudoin, Desiree Nielsen, Sarah Suk, Brian Thomas Isaac, and Kung Jaadee.
Holiday Hours for Easter The Library will be closed on Friday, March 29 (Good Friday), Sunday, March 31 (Easter Sunday), and Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday).
We will be open regular hours on Saturday, March 30.
Hundreds of kids, teens, caregivers, and educators told us what changes in the Youth Department's existing space could help them learn better, use the Library more, and discover the world of imagination.

Experience intimate profiles of individuals living with dementia and their care partners in the documentary Keys Bags Names Words, followed by a panel discussion featuring local professionals in dementia care.
Saturday, April 13, 2 – 2:45 p.m. or 3 – 3:45 p.m. Immerse yourself in Persian culture through music with Daf and Tonbak drum demonstrations, and traditional Persian dance.
Saturday, April 27, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Visit Swáy̓wi Temíxw (the Library’s rooftop garden) to collect your Adopt-a-Fish certificate. Afterward, head to Memorial Park to release a juvenile Coho Salmon into the wild!
