Summer Reading Club

Trophies + Medals

This year, we had 1,831 individuals join, which means 1,373,250 minutes of reading! 

The results are in! The winners of this year’s Summer Reading Club School Trophies are…

The Xwemélch’stn Etsimxwawtxw – Capilano Little Ones School| Small School (0-100 students)
(Cypress Park 2nd, Eagle Harbour Montessori 3rd)

Hollyburn| Medium School (100-350 students)
(École Cedardale 2nd, Chartwell 3rd)

Westcot | Large School (350+ students)
(West Bay 2nd, Caulfeild 3rd)

Congratulations to the winning schools!

We had record-breaking attendance at our Medal Ceremony this year, with over 1,100 kids and families! 

 

We still have lots of medals available to give out. Completed 50 days of reading but never came to get a medal? Visit the Youth Desk whenever the Library is open to collect yours!

What’s On at the Library! 

Remembrance Day | November 11

The Library will be open from 1 – 5 p.m. following the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Memorial Arch. Come during opening hours to view the Book of Remembrance and to learn and reflect.

Valentines for Vets | All Ages 
Create a handmade valentine in the Youth Department, and we’ll send it to a Canadian Veteran via Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
