The Mezzanine (level 2R or the former non-fiction area) was closed earlier this year for necessary seismic upgrades. We took this opportunity to also add more seating, improve lighting, and establish sound levels in study spaces in response to community feedback to our 2024 User Survey.

Fundraiser announcement
Did you know that West Vancouver loved books so much that they had libraries well before this building was built 75 years ago? And that when the building did open, it was thanks to a group of devoted volunteers and fundraisers?

This spirit continues today with the Library Foundation, who raises funds for the enhanced programs and services you love at WVML. Don’t miss their fundraiser on November 7, where you’ll hear the compelling story of the library’s beginnings in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, against a backdrop of music by Piano Heist. Save the date—tickets will be available later this summer.
