We’re excited to be extending our hours! Starting March 1 the Library will be open 10 a.m - 6 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Also, we are open on Family Day 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
We have so many fun programs planned for spring break! Registration opens on February 15. Download the program posters in this email to share with your students and their families.

The Youth Department is excited to announce the addition of Launchpads to our collection! Launchpads are pre-loaded tablets that have a collection of educational apps and videos grouped by age. Each tablet is curated around specific themes, goals, or interests and doesn’t require Wi-Fi to use!

Create Bravely – The World Needs Your Voice! with Peter H. Reynolds
Thursday, February 24 at 1:30 p.m. Peter H. Reynolds will share his books about creativity, courage, and self-expression—including The Word Collector, Say Something!, and Our Table.
Thursday, March 3 at 1:30 p.m. Hear about the inspiration behind some of her beloved, classic books, get writing tips from a two-time Newbery Award winner, and receive reflections on her latest novel for young readers, The Beatryce Prophecy.
Tell Your Story: Nature as a Character | Ages 8 – 12
March 22-25 at 11 a.m. Led by our Climate Writer in Residence, Katłįà (Catherine) Lafferty, participants will create their own short work. These works will be part of an anthology that will be available for library patrons to borrow as an eBook.
Wednesday, March 16 at 11 a.m. Learn about OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) and the raptors that call British Columbia home. You will get the chance to meet two real Raptor Ambassadors and have a question period with our educator Zac!
Wednesday, March 16, 10 a.m. Join Sanam for a very special Farsi storytime to celebrate Norooz! The songs, rhymes, and story will primarily be delivered in Farsi (with just a little bit English) of but all are welcome.
Bimonthly on Thursday at 4 p.m. February 24 March 10 March 31 All students in Grades 8–12 are welcome and will receive volunteer credit for attending. Registration is required.
